PRODUCT LAUNCH: Unveiling ‘Special Releases’ 2019

The Diageo Special Releases range is the pinnacle event of Single Malt whisky calendar – the innovation, people, craft and stories behind each of the bottlings creates an exciting level of intrigue and anticipation across the industry.

Tasting Experience Special Releases

Our production and events team were briefed to produce two luxe tasting events in Sydney and Melbourne - in the capable hands of Diageo’s National Whisky Ambassador and the wider Brand Ambassador team engaging attendees with their extensive knowledge on the range.

Taking over a modern penthouse apartment space in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney for the signature event, Sweet&Chilli upped the ante, taking trade out of the usual bar space, enabling guests to get creative and inspire them with something visually appealing and photo-worthy that they wouldn’t expect from a traditional tasting occasion.

Styling Special Releases

Broken into specific areas to match the profiles and origins of each whisky, our production team styled each space with an abundance of assets, props and specially designed collateral to bring the brands to life, highlighting the heritage and craftsmanship around each distilling process. Taking guests on a journey through artisanal craft in Speyside; the sparse, secretive nature of Dunnage House, to the nautical shorelines of Islay; the engagement across the distilleries concluded with specially curated cocktails and catering in the venue’s prestigious main space where attendees were invited to purchase the bottlings from our pop-up shop.

Dunnage House

“The event exceeded expectations.  The location was perfect, the presentation of the whiskies was first class - very articulate and informative.  I was blown away by how good the whiskies were, I didn't realise that whisky could be so tantalising and exciting, certainly the best that I have ever had the pleasure to taste.  The addition of the before and after cocktails was a classy touch to an already outstanding event.  All in all, I give the tasting 5 stars, I cannot fault it.”
